Paul Lake
Paul Lake & Pinantan are neighbourhoods located 20 minutes northeast of Kamloops. There is a provincial campground which attracts a number of visitors in the warmer months. Situated at the provincial park and campground, visitors can access a public boat launch. Living in Paul Lake offers residents the opportunity to live in a rural, nature setting with the convenience of a quick commute into Kamloops.
Paul Lake does allow power boats so you can enjoy water skiing and wakeboarding/wakesurfing. There are many other activities to enjoy such as kayaking, canoeing and hiking among many others.
Paul Lake Real Estate
The majority of the properties in Paul Lake have leased properties with 25-year terms from the Kamloops Indian Band and many of them border Paul Lake. There are a few properties located at Paul Lake that are not on a lease but they tend to be much more expensive than the leasehold properties.
Paul Lake Shopping/Services
Residents of Paul Lake & Pinantan will need to drive into Kamloops to do their shopping, which is a quick 20-minute drive. North Hills Mall is the closest shopping district offering stores like Independent Grocer, Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks and Mark’s. There are a number of smaller retail stores and restaurants. Safeway and Canadian Tire are nearby.
Paul Lake Schools
There are no schools in Paul Lake. Residents can attend Pinantan Elementary and Valleyview Secondary. Valleyview Secondary is currently undergoing a massive expansion but is still open for students.
