Aberdeen Real Estate
Aberdeen is one of the fastest-growing neighbourhoods in Kamloops. There are many different options for purchasing Aberdeen real estate including single-family homes, condos, townhomes and mobile homes. In Glenhmour Estates, a more mature neighbourhood with larger executive homes often over 4,000 square feet can be found. This area is located west of Howe Road off Pacific Way and the lots are usually half an acre in size. The upper Aberdeen area is a family-friendly neighbourhood with larger single-family dwellings and townhouses. North of Aberdeen Drive is mature neighbourhoods with older homes, executive type homes which have over 2000 square feet of living space in them as well as mainly flat useable yards. This area has many cul-de-sacs making it very desirable for families to live there.
The homes south of Aberdeen Drive range from newly built to a couple of decades old. They sit on smaller sized, low maintenance lots due to some steeper slopes. The bare land strata mobile home park on Howe Road in Aberdeen called Aberdeen Glen Village has a community feel with surrounding trees and wildlife. Homes range from older to newer models, each having its own unique design that owners pay for through monthly fees which include water, sewer, and garbage services. The West Highlands of Aberdeen is located west of Pacific Way, and was once an 18 hole golf course. This development consists mainly of single-family homes but also includes townhouses, duplexes and condo-style homes as well as bare land strata and estate lots. There is a community fire hall in this neighbourhood while small scale commercial spaces have recently popped up along with more families moving into the area every year.
